PG&E will give the California Maritime Academy $227,000 for energy efficiency upgrades. The upgrades will help the Vallejo academy save 370 tons of greenhouse gas pollution each year, PG&E said.
The California Maritime Academy is a campus of California State University which offers bachelor’s degrees in international business and logistics, facilities engineeringtechnology , global studies and maritime affairs, marine engineering technology , marine transportation and mechanical engineering. It’s one of just seven maritime academies offering degrees in the United States, according to its web site.
