Tech Prep is a national program that recognizes the rigorous curriculum offered in high school career-technical classrooms and bridges students to appropriate college placement in their chosen career path.

Local Tech Prep competitions are sponsored by Solano Community College in conjunction with business intermediaries such as Solano Economic Development Corporation and with the support of many other businesses and industry partners.

Often students can earn college credit while still in high school.

These competitions offer students the opportunity to build real world career skills in contextual learning activities. Students use academic skills while working in teams, under deadlines, with specific objectives in mind.
