Vallejo City Unified School District will get more than $4 million in federal stimulus money, while Benicia School District will get more than $1.3 million.

The money comes from the State Fiscal Stabilization Fund of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Local districts had to apply to receive the money.

The state superintendent's office released the preliminary allocations online Saturday. The first round of allocation is based on cuts made to local education agencies' revenue limit funding. A second round of funding allocation will restore cuts to program funding.
