Hearn Construction Completes New Hotel on Accelerated Schedule
(WEST SACRAMENTO, CA) – Hearn Construction recently completed the new Hampton Inn & Suites in West Sacramento for owner group OTO Development, LLC, a nationwide hotel developer. The 66,276 square foot, four story hotel is strategically located near business and industrial parks, including IKEA, Walmart, the California Highway Patrol Academy and Home Depot. Construction began in March of 2008, and a Certificate of Occupancy was issued in February 2009.
Designed by Architectural Dimensions in Walnut Creek, the hotel features the first “Perfect Mix” style lounge built in the Sacramento market. In this concept, the pantry area is separated from the seating area by glass doors, and has booth style seating. There will be a custom community table in the lounge area, which will also feature a water wall type fountain, more appealing year-round than the traditional fireplace. The 110 room project also includes site improvements and a swimming pool.
Joe Viera, the Owner’s Representative, says “OTO Development is extremely pleased with the completion of the Hampton Inn & Suites hotel in West Sacramento. Hearn Construction did an outstanding job and this project has been by far the best that I have been involved with start to finish. Great job to the entire team and congratulations on a great project!”
According to Deanna Bohler, Project Manager, “Schedule was the big challenge on this project. We wanted to provide our customary high quality at an accelerated pace. Our Superintendents, Mark Redmond and Noel Scott, as well as our subcontractors, were able to step up and provide superior service to the client.” The Hearn Team also includes Dave Dosker as the Project Executive, and Anne Casebolt as the Project Administrator.
