FAIRFIELD – The Solano County Manufacturing Summit will look at strategies for success for the manufacturing industry during a recession. The event is May 5 from 7:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Hotel in Fairfield.
The event will be hosted by the consulting firm Corporation for Manufacturing Excellence, or Manex, and will cover key concepts in strategy, operations management and resources available to help increase profitability and productivity.
Presenters include Charles Corbett, professor of operations and environmental management at UCLA Anderson School of Management to discuss strategies for managing small business operations; Moss Adams to review R&D tax credits and financial strategies; and a panel discussion on financing resources and access to capital with Jeff Sweeney, managing director of U.S. Capital, and Dan Bronfman, an expert on industrial development bonds.
“This is an excellent opportunity for manufacturers, distributors and their supply chains to gain insight from an organization with a track record of successes in their field,” said Michael Ammann, president of the Solano Economic Development Corp.
