FAIRFIELD - In hopes of drawing more visitors to Suisun Valley wineries, the area will hold its first 'Passport Sunday' tasting tour April 19.
The Suisun Valley Grape Growers Association recently formed a vintners committee for the growing number of wineries in the area, and the committee's first public event will be a day trip during which people can visit the seven major wineries and sample their products.
'It is a chance for folks to come out and taste and travel,' said Tracy Ellison, agricultural ambassador for the area. 'We will be pairing the wines with local restaurants.'
