Economy, school closures, crime top stories of 2009

FAIRFIELD - The sputtering economy touched every life in Solano County, spurring a state budget crises and local budget challenges as well as pushing unemployment into double digits.
But that wasn't the only top story of 2009. The Fairfield-Suisun School Board closed two schools. Fairfield instituted a gang injunction. The Solano County district attorney was convicted of violating someone's civil rights.
