TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE - It has been 20 months since Balfour Beatty Communities started building, renovating and managing Travis Air Force Base's on-base residential housing areas.
'It has been a fun ride and we have done a lot of good things here,' said Mark Depree, project director for Balfour Beatty Communities at Travis.
The Pennsylvania-based Balfour Beatty Communities, which is part of the London-based Balfour Beatty Group, has completed 164 of the 358 homes it plans to build on Travis by January 2011.
Of the 358 homes, 127 will house junior enlisted families and have four bedrooms to meet the goal to give each child their own room.
