Mayor: Vaca on even keel despite outside chaos

Last year, Vacaville Mayor Len Augustine said he was cautiously optimistic about Vacaville's fortunes.

This year, he feels Vacaville's leadership still has the situation under control 'despite outside chaotic circumstances,' Augustine said.

The mayor attributed a large part of the viability of city services to the hard work of City Manager Laura Kuhn, her staff and the city's employees.

Augustine and Kuhn gave their annual state-of-the-city address to a supportive crowd of Vacaville Chamber of Commerce members Friday morning.
