PG&E grants $227K to Maritime Academy

PG&E will give the California Maritime Academy $227,000 for energy efficiency upgrades. The upgrades will help the Vallejo academy save 370 tons of greenhouse gas pollution each year, PG&E said.

The California Maritime Academy is a campus of California State University which offers bachelor’s degrees in international business and logistics, facilities engineering technology, global studies and maritime affairs, marine engineering technology, marine transportation and mechanical engineering. It’s one of just seven maritime academies offering degrees in the United States, according to its web site.
