Touro University solidifies plans with purchase

FAIRFIELD - Instead of tossing away money in lease payments, Touro University on Mare Island can now call another 44 acres its own to do with as it pleases.

Escrow just closed on the land that houses some 23 historic buildings and was bought from Lennar Mare Island, according to a press release issued by the university.
