FAIRFIELD - Going more than 2,100 days without workers losing time to accidents and maintaining the sewage collection system for more than a year without an overflow helped earn the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District some awards.
The district was honored recently at the California Water Environment Association's Redwood Empire Section dinner. It won awards for plant of the year, collection system of the year and laboratory person of the year and will advance to the state finals in those categories, a district press release said.
