T-Mobile, a cellular company, is looking to add additional antennae at its Marshall Plaza location in Vacaville.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing Tuesday to consider a request from T-Mobile to add a second antennae structure consisting of a 31-foot light pole in the parking lot at 1100 Marshall Road.

The new system, according to a staff report, will receive radio signals for a regional cellular phone network.

The modification consists of three parts, including removing and replacing one equipment cabinet, replacing three antennas with three new panel antennas contained within an existing 31-foot-tall light pole and replacing an existing sign post with a new 31-foot-tall light pole containing three panel antennas concealed inside a Fiberglas radome -- a weatherproof enclosure that will protect the antennae.

City staff is recommending approval of the modification.

In other action, the commission will consider a request for a one-year extension for the Longs drive-through and pharmacy extension.

The one-year extension is requested, according to a staff report, because of the recent change in ownership from Longs Drugs to CVS/Pharmacy.

Last summer, planning commissioners approved a conditional-use permit and design review to build a new drive-through pharmacy window and canopy on the west side and a new tower element and front entryway on the south side of the store at 377 E. Monte Vista Ave.

City staff is recommending approval of the time extension.

The Vacaville Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 650 Merchant St.
